| Palmyra stalwart granted legend status |

Palmyra front rower Gary Mickle has been crowned the inaugural winner of the Department of Sport and Recreations Local Legends competition, which recognises outstanding contributions to sport at the grass-roots level.
Gary has played for Palmyra almost since he was born, holds the world record for 1st Grade appearances and was instrumental in Palmyras come-from-behind victory in the 2007 5th-grade premiership decider.
This 69-year-old legend is an example of the glue that binds Palmyra Rugby Union Club together and an inspiration to us all.
Well done and congratulations Gary! You are an absolute legend! |
