Friday Focus

3 months ago By Palmyra Media

This year we will be compiling a player profile report on a weekly basis, appearing on our News Feed every Friday.

“I just like his versatility...he can play so many positions. And I really like his hair too, his hair is also very versatile”

This week's Friday Focus, we have the spotlight on newcomer to the club, Marcus Arrindell.

DOB: 10/04/2000
Premier Grade appearances: 1
Best Friend: Wesley Brooke
Started Shaving: Aged 15
Max Bench: 95kg
100m PB: 13.4 seconds
Siblings: 1 sister (19)
Favourite Drink: Corona
School: 36% score on his Physics WACE exam
University: Nursing at Notre Dame

One to watch: Trey Moloney

Marcus made his debut last week as a 2nd half substitute and did enough to earn a starting berth this week for his run on debut against Nedlands. Something you might not know about Marcus is that his family are originally from Trinidad and moved here back in 1994. He attended Aquinas College before being accepted in Notre Dame to study Nursing. As he only turned 18 this week he has not had a proper night out yet but is looking forward to doing that this weekend with his mates and is also keenly looking forward to his first post match piss up with the boys at the club at our next home game.

Asked what he was most looking forward to this Saturday, he said "I haven't seen any of the guys in the showers yet so that'll be a cool experience".

Marcus reckons Trey Moloney is his "one to watch" this year. When he was asked to give a reason for his decision he said "I just like his versatility...he can play so many positions. And I really like his hair too, his hair is also very versatile. One week its slick back and the next is "American Prep" so i's always exciting to see what he's bringing to training each week".

One thing's for certain though, keep an eye out on Marcus this year and enjoy the skillset he has to offer as an outside back.
