John Taylor Cup on the line this Saturday

4 months ago By Palmyra Media

This Saturday at Pat O'Hara Reserve, The Palms square off in Premier Grade for the John (JT) Taylor Cup against Perth Bayswater

JT is, and has been, a passionate supporter of Community rugby in this State and has been Head Coach for stints at both the Palmyra Rugby Union Club and the Perth-Bayswater RUFC so this is a fitting acknowledgement of efforts of this gentleman that we compete for a Cup named in his honour.

John was the Palmyra Head coach in 2010 and 2011 and he still has a close affinity with our Club even though he has been coaching at Baysie for the last couple of years.

Since its inception in 2014 this Game has been a highlight on the rugby calendar for both clubs and if previous results are anything to go this game should be an absolute cracker.

This week all the matches have been brought forward by 30mins

Match Times
12:00pm - Third Grade
12:00pm - Colts
1:20 - Fourth Grade
1:25 - Reserve Grade
3:00 - Premier Grade

Don't forget to head to NIB Stadium to catch the Western Force take on the Chiefs from 5:45pm!
