It is with great sadness that the Palmyra Rugby Club farewells our life member, player and club supporter Robert (Bobby) Boag.
The Palmyra club was privileged to have Bob as a player from 1960 through to 1980. During this time Bob was an outstanding player, he won numerous individual awards and was also recognised as a fantastic team man as well. He was popular amongst his own team mates, but just as importantly Bob was highly respected by those opposition players he played against.
Bob was a very quiet unassuming person, but was certainly well liked by all club members and his mates.
For his outstanding contribution and service to the Palmyra rugby club, Bob was awarded Life Membership in 1984.
The Palmyra rugby club extends its condolences to Bobs wife June, the family and his many friends.
'Without doubt Bob would be selected in the 1st IV in the game they play in heaven'.
The Funeral Service for Bob will take place today (Friday 12 January) at the Bowra & O'Dea Chapel, 312 South Street, Hilton commencing at 2.30pm.
